Montreal Alouettes Agree to Terms with Montrealer Rohan Jones

Montreal, September 5, 2026 – The Montreal Alouettes announced Saturday that they have reached an agreement with tight end Rohan Jones. The Montreal native, who grew up in the Ahuntsic neighbourhood, was selected by the Alouettes with the eighth overall pick in the CFL Canadian Draft last May.

Jones (6'3", 236 lbs.) attended the Los Angeles Rams' training camp a few days ago. The 24-year-old played in three preseason games with the team.

The former Collège Jean-Eudes and André-Grasset student played two seasons at the University of Maine, one at Montana State, and his final season at the University of Arkansas.

In 12 games during his final college season with the Razorbacks in 2025, he recorded four touchdowns and 519 receiving yards on 19 receptions. He also rushed twice for 10 yards and scored one rushing touchdown.

He played at Montana State University in 2024, where he made 30 receptions for 470 yards and nine touchdowns. He was named first-team All-Big Sky and a first-team FCS All-American.

“We have just added a strong player to our roster,” said General Manager Danny Maciocia. “We knew this selection was a bold gamble, and today we are pleased that he is joining us after his stint south of the border.”
