Montreal, Sept. 9, 2026 – The Montreal Alouettes announced Wednesday that Canadian defensive back Arthur Hamlin is hanging up his cleats.
This year, the 26-year-old played eight games with the team, recording two defensive tackles and six tackles on special teams.
Hamlin (6'0", 190 lbs.) joined the Alouettes in 2024 after being selected 29th overall in the 2024 CFL Draft. In 2025, the Ottawa native played 16 games with the Alouettes, recording 17 defensive tackles, four special-teams tackles, and one interception.
“I’d like to thank Arthur for his years with us. Not only has he been a great person off the field, but he has also been a very talented player,” said Alouettes general manager Danny Maciocia. “For him, this is the beginning of a new chapter, and we wish him all the best.”
