QB CALEB EVANS BACK IN THE NEST

Montreal, September 1, 2026 – The Montreal Alouettes announced Tuesday that they have signed American quarterback Caleb Evans to a one-year contract.

Evans (6'1", 210 lbs.) spent three seasons in Montreal after joining the team in February 2023. The 28-year-old suited up for 36 games with the Alouettes. In August 2025, his season was cut short due to a knee injury.

In 2025, he recorded 207 passing yards, completing 20 of 29 passes, with one touchdown pass over 10 games. On the ground, he carried the ball 19 times for 50 yards and two touchdowns.

The former Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks standout won the Grey Cup with the team in 2023.Overall, Evans has played five CFL seasons, beginning his career with the Ottawa REDBLACKS.

The Mansfield, Texas native played 43 games over four seasons with the Warhawks, including 39 starts. He amassed 9,523 passing yards and 58 career touchdown passes, finishing with a 60.5 completion percentage and a 134.0 passer rating.
