Francis DupontMontreal, October 14, 2026 – Quarterback Davis Alexander (second) has been named one of the Canadian Football League’s (CFL) Players of the Week for Week 19.
The 27-year-old earns the honour for the sixth time this season, having been recognized in Weeks 2, 4, 7, 9, 12 and 19.
The quarterback threw for more than 403 yards for the fifth time this season, completing 26 of his 33 passes and throwing five touchdown passes (a career high).
He also added 40 rushing yards to help his team defeat the Saskatchewan Roughriders 44–24 on Monday afternoon in the Thanksgiving Day game.

The Portland State University alumnus also surpassed 5,000 passing yards in a single season for the first time in his career.
Alexander leads the CFL in passing yards (5,257) and touchdown passes (35).
Players were chosen by a panel composed of representatives from the CFL’s Football Operations, Player and Game Statistics, and Content departments.
