Montreal, October 6, 2026 – Canadian wide receiver Tyson Philpot has been named the Canadian Football League (CFL) Player of the Week (Week 18).

Philpot finished first in the voting after recording 11 receptions for 207 yards, reaching the 200-yard mark for the second time in his career and for the first time this season.

In the Alouettes’ victory over the Blue Bombers, he hauled in two passes of more than 30 yards, including a spectacular 52-yard catch in the first quarter.

He broke CFL records for a Canadian receiver with 119 receptions and 1,735 receiving yards in a single season.

This is his sixth Player of the Week selection this season, after being honored in Weeks 2, 4, 6, 9 and 10.

Philpot leads the CFL this season with 119 receptions, 1,735 receiving yards and 12 receiving touchdowns.

The players were selected by a panel consisting of representatives from the CFL’s football operations, player statistics, game statistics and content departments.
